Famous mineral specimens often acquire nicknames because of their resemblance to real or fanciful objects the same way people see pictures in clouds. Sometimes this becomes so widely accepted that the specimen becomes known by its nickname. When you are done with the tour, see if you can find other specimens you think should have a nickname.
